Postpartum flow is a class for all postpartum bodies. We will work on mindfully moving and reconnecting with ourselves and our bodies as we re-orient after the experience of birth, no matter how you gave birth. There will be opportunities to practice yoga poses, connect with the core, address common discomforts of the postpartum time. This is also chance to connect with people during this tender postpartum time and create some community.
I welcome non-mobile babies to this class and feeding and attending to their needs is a part of this class. (General recommendations state it is best to wait 6 weeks after a vaginal birth and 8 weeks after a cesarean birth to return to any exercise practice. Do consult your medical provider and listen to your intuition about when it feels right to resume exercise.)
