This is not a prenatal yoga class. Ageless Yoga offers a gentle yoga introduction for older students. As we age, some activities (such as lifting, reaching, bending, rising from a chair, getting up from the floor) gradually become challenging.
In this class we use slow-paced stretching and some classic yoga poses to develop flexibility, strength, balance and agility. We use props (bolsters, blocks, blankets) and offer modifications to make these movements accessible to everyone.
Steve takes a relaxed approach to teaching. You’ll laugh a little as you work your way through class. Remember: You don’t get more flexible by avoiding yoga. Give it a try.
