This workshop is designed to empower both birth partner and laboring parent to trust the natural process of labor, including how a partner can provide support during labor and the postpartum transition. You will learn new massage techniques, acupressure points for pain and how essential oils can help during labor and postpartum. Partners will learn how to support the birthing parent if they don’t want to be touched at all. You will receive a handbook with all the information to practice at home as you prepare for labor.
The postpartum section of the class offers new ways to support yourself and partner, while caring for a new baby, including massage, meditation, pranayama (breathing techniques) a short practice of yoga, and essential oils. Come prepared with comfortable clothes, one towel, an open mind and heart.
